We are still doing the apartment ministry at the Bluestone Apartments in Mabank. Last summer, we had a Backyard Bible Club the same week we had VBS at our church. One very influential boy trusted CHRIST! His name is Jacob. He moved away a few months later, but for weeks afterwards, Mom taught him the Universal Disciple from Colossians, and gave him some devotionals. Praise the LORD for him!
Also, more recently, we had another movie night showing Soul Surfer. Lots of kids and their parents came and stayed, even to clean up afterwards, very different than the time before. They really enjoyed the movie.
Coming up is a Soup and Chili Cook-Off April 20. GOD is at work!
Thanks for coming to our site. The site will provide you with information, ideas, and reources for beginning and sustaining cultivative events, classes and activities for apartment residents. Developing relationships is critical to win the right to share our faith.
You will find stories of those already porviding onsite helps and wants for the residents. You will also find different kinds of training resources to know how to begin. Beginning is ONLY the beginning so you will also get ideas for the long term.
There are also regular Leadership Team Meetings and training events throughout the year in several different locations in Texas (and sometimes beyond). Check back on the calendar from time to time so you can attend those close to you.
